It was the end of the 1st Republic when Joaquim, Aurélio and Jorge, the three sons of a blacksmith with his forge in Rua do Parque da República, adapted a small lorry Ford T to transport 14 passageiros and started to transport customers from Carvalhos to Oporto.

In 14 and 15 of August of 1926, they made the first excursion connecting Gaia to Vila Real when started a tourism and rent activity that last until our days.

In the next decade, they begin to operate with regular bus lines between Lavadores to Madalena and Oporto. They survived to the 2nd World War crisis, recovering and growing in the 50's and 60's. They were pioneers with the introduction in Portugal in 1963 of the concept of urban and continuous service with vehicles specially constructed for that purpose.

The April 25th of 1974 already found Espírito Santo with 6 bus lines and 32 vehicles. Meanwhile, they joined more friends, making today a group of work that includes 130 people integrated in an experienced staff and in continued formation, operating with 125 vehicles weekly inspected in our enterprise and 2 times per year in external entities. We are distributed for two strategic locations, 16 regular bus lines that cover mostly of the council of Gaia and the total of its urban area, transporting every day more than 20.000 people.

It's for them, for you and because we have a daily meeting with you, that we give every day our best and the moment of transportation stops to be a necessary upset, becoming a nice passage between home and work or leisure.

In 2001 the enterprise Espírito Santo was congratulated with the statute PME Services Excellency.
